Template:Unreferenced Template:Orphan Template:Infobox Company JVA Artists, Inc. is a management and booking agency that operates in Northern and Central California. It is owned and operated by Jess Vielma, and has been operating since the mid-1980s. It was originally started after Jess was in a family band throughout the 1970s and early 1980s. After the band disbanded, Vielma started a management agency. It was originally called "VAA Artists Management" since the name "JVA" was already licensed in California. But when the company that used "JVA" went out of business, "VAA Artists Management" became "JVA Artists Management." In 2001, the name was changed to "JVA Artists, Inc," and the company split into two sections: "JVA Talent Agency" (in charge of finding new talent) and "JVA Artists Management" (in charge of managing and booking acts; also the department that groups from the Talent Agency transfer to when they sign with JVA). Since 2004, JVA has also owned DAC Recording Studios.
